Archetypes

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

This policy describes how the Archetypes mobile app and its supporting service handle data. It is written to describe what the app actually does, not what it might do later; if that changes, this page changes with it.

The short version

Archetypes has no accounts and no login. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location, and it does not build a profile of you. It does not contain advertising or advertising trackers, and it does not sell or share personal information with anyone for advertising purposes.

What we collect

Information you give us

None. The app has no sign-up, no login, and no forms. If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to put in that email.

Information collected automatically

The app requests NFL matchup analysis from our own service. Those requests carry the technical information any internet request carries — your device's IP address, the type of device and app version making the request, and the time of the request. Our service provider processes this to deliver the response and to keep the service secure and working.

Crash and error reporting

The app includes crash-reporting software (Sentry) so that we can find and fix crashes. It is disabled unless it has been switched on for a released build. When it is on, it sends technical diagnostics about a failure — the error, the device model, the operating system version, and the app version. It is not used to track you between apps or across the internet, and it is not used for advertising.

Usage analytics

The app contains the ability to record a small number of product events — which narrative you opened, which prop you viewed, how you set the tuning controls, and whether you tracked a matchup — so that we can understand which parts of the product are useful. This capability is switched off in the current release and sends nothing. If we switch it on, this page will say so before we do, and this section will describe exactly what is recorded and how it is associated with a device or an account.

Purchases

If and when the app offers a paid subscription, the purchase itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or receive your payment card, bank details, or billing address. We receive a confirmation that a subscription started, renewed, or ended, so that we can unlock the right features.

Why we use it

We do not use any of it to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.

Who else is involved

We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. Each one is a service provider acting on our instructions, and each is contractually required to protect the information it processes for us to a standard no lower than this policy — they may not use it for their own purposes.

Render
Hosts our service and database in the United States.
Sentry
Receives crash and error diagnostics, when crash reporting is enabled.
Apple and Google
Distribute the app and process any purchase. Their own privacy policies govern what they collect as the store and payment provider.

NFL statistics and betting-market reference data come into our service from commercial data providers. That is a one-way flow: no information about you is sent to them.

How long we keep it

Crash diagnostics are kept only as long as needed to diagnose and fix the problem. Server request logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded. Because the app has no accounts, we hold no personal profile to retain.

Your choices, and how to reach us

You can stop all data collection at any time by deleting the app. Because there is no account, deleting the app leaves nothing behind that identifies you.

If you would like to ask what information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or withdraw any consent you have given, email privacy@archetypesapp.com and we will act on your request. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

Archetypes is intended for adults 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email privacy@archetypesapp.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect.
